The CEO of East Oil and Gas Production Company announced the production of 15 billion and 700 million cubic meters of gas in EOGPC in the past year and added: In the winter, due to the cold weather and the increase in gas consumption, the amount of gas production reached 102.3% of the company"s commitment.

According to Public Relations of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company Abolhassan Mohammadi, CEO of EOGPC, announced 40% increase in reproduction of gas from Shorijeh Reservoir and said gas reproduction from Shorijeh reservior, as the largest natural gas storage facility in Iran, has increased by about 43% compared to last year, which is unprecedented in the last six years.

Mohammadi said well and wellhead overhaul of the operational regions is one of the main priorities of the company in order to continue production and we have started the overhaul since the beginning of April.

Referring to the production increase of the company in April, he said due to heavy rainfall and cold weather in the aforementioned month, gas consumption has increased by 30% compared to the same period last year in various sectors.

Elsewhere in his remarks Mohammadi praised the efforts of the hard-working staff of EOGPC during corona virus pandemic and said: "This company is the only natural gas producer in the north and northeast of the country, and, with all its power and strength, it is ready to supply gas demand of the country and in line with the sustainable production of gas in the current conditions of the country, it stands firm so as not to disrupt the supply of gas consumption of our compatriots.

Regarding the fight against the corona virus as one of corporate social responsibilities and main concerns of the company, the CEO of East Oil and Gas Production Company said: during the corona crisis management, we have monitored the level of virus infection among personnel of the company with the help of the health department of Sarakhs city and neighboring villages.

East Oil and Gas Production Company, based in Mashhad city, is one the three ICOFC subsidiaries within Khorasan Razavi, Northern and Southern Khorasan provinces. There are two gas fields under EOGPC, named Khangiran and Gonbadli, which supply gas demand of North and East part of the country. Company"s gas output is transferred to Shahid Hashemi Nejad gas refinery before consumption.
