Managing director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company said that in order to optimize the resources, oil and gas production in ICOFC will be field-based and well-based.

On the sideline of the committee on integrated management of production, operation and reservoir held in Mashhad, Salabali Karimi managing director of ICOFC said in order to make the most effective use of oil and gas fields under ICOFC, we need to have special plan for every single well and allocate suitable resources for developing the fields.

He said ICOFC is ready to tender for new wells together with reviving the existing wells under ICOFC and the company would make most of local contractors potentialities in this regard.

Karimi reiterated those wells with no economic efficiency should be abandoned.

On oil and gas production enhancement he said improving ICOFC reservoir is on the committees agenda and developing Tang-e-bijar field together with joint fields with the neighboring countries would be on top priority.
