South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Co. has plans to raise natural gas recovery from Agar Gas Field, SZOGPC chief said. Gholamhussein Montazeri told Shana that the second phase development of the gas field has started by the company and its output is targeted to double from the current 20 mcf/d. The gas recovered from the field is used for injecting oilfields located in southern Iran especially Maroun field, he added. Located 110 km off southeastern Shiraz, the gas field is being operated by Iran Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). 16 wells are being run at the field of which 14 are productive.
