Ervin Kroell, senior vice-president of OMVs Middle East and Caspian Department, said his company is interested in joining development projects in Iran.

Ervin Kroell, senior vice-president of OMVs Middle East and Caspian Department, said his company is interested in joining development projects in Iran.

Speaking to Shana, the OMV official said the company is interested in investment in oil projects in Iran.

"Provided that studies over the fields bear positive outcomes, OMV will prioritize investment in the projects," Kroell said.
He said the newly-developed oil contract models by Iran must be viewed differently from old ones, adding this is a highly important matter for OMV.

He said OMV signed an MoU six months ago with Iran and has planned to sign another one with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) in the near future.

The OMV official added that his company is trying to reach an agreement for developing Band Karkheh and Cheshmeh Khoush oilfields in Iran.

He also said Iran and Austria can enhance their energy relations.
