Most Legal Barriers in Intl Trade Removed for Iran in Post-JCPOA

A senior Iranian petroleum official said most of the legal barriers in international trade with Iranian partners have been removed in light of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

A senior Iranian petroleum official said most of the legal barriers in international trade with Iranian partners have been removed in light of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Amir Hossein Zamaninia, deputy petroleum minister in international affairs and trading, told an oil conference on Tuesday that the JCPOA has removed most of the legal obstacles in international trade with Iranian companies.

He said state and private sectors must be able to overcome the existing challenges and be able to manage them.

Sanctions targeting a number of Iranian companies including the Oil Industry Pension Fund Investment Company (OPIC) were removed which is another result of the nuclear deal Iran struck with the P5+1 group of countries in Vienna in 2015.
