Managing director of National Iranian Gas Export Company ALireza Kameli said the country will raise its gas export capacity in the following year as the country will dramatically boost its gas output.

The official said for the second time this year, the countrys gas trade balance has been positive, meaning the countrys gas exports exceed imports.

He said 95% of Irans power plants are being fed by gas instead of liquid fuel.

"Given the fact that the domestic consumption of gas has been met, any raise in the countrys output can be translated into more potentialities for export of gas," he said.
