Sustainable Electricity Supply to Sarajeh Operational Region Realized

20 kV power supply from 63.20 kV substation of Shahid Fahmideh refinery and natural gas storage complex was put into operation in Sarajeh operational region to supply the required electricity of this region at a rate of 500 kW.

Hasan Soleimani, head of Sarajeh Operational Region, was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying that "over the last years, the required electricity of Sarajeh Operational Region has been fed through a 35-km rural distribution network in Qanavat city of Qom province but the network couldn"t be reliable due to frequent interruptions and voltage drops, and on the other hand It caused operational interruptions and reduced production.

He added: ‘the power supply plan became operational at the lowest cost and in less than two months in order to maintain gas production capacity of Sarajeh operational region through the 63.20 kV substation of Shahid Fahmideh refinery and natural gas storage complex.

On gas injection to Sarajeh reservoir Soleimani said: since March 31 some 340 million cubic meters of gas has been injected into the reservoir and the injection process will continue up to 900 mcm in the eight warm months of the year , and during the four cold months of the year some 892 mcm of gas will be reproduced from the reservoir as well.

Sarajeh Operational Region is one of the operational zones under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company which is located in Qom province 140 km to the south of Tehran.
