The CEO of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company announced that comprehensive study of 8 ICOFC fields would be awarded to local companies.

While announcing this news, Ramin Hatami stated: According to the announcement of the high official of the Oil Ministry and the board of directors of the National Iranian Oil Company regarding the policy and strategy of development and production of oil and gas from national reservoirs, comprehensive studies of Tabnak, Shanol, Varavi and Aghar gas fields as well as Dalan ,Naft Shahr, Sarvestan and Saadatabad oil fields in the form of five study packages will be awarded to domestic contractors in order to determine reservoir characteristics, construction of underground and surface level models, field performance forecasting, economic calculations and development plan and enhanced recovery rate of the aforementioned fields .

He also said: At present, study of 7 other oil and gas fields, which have been handed over to local consultants, are in the final stages and the results will be announced in the coming months.

Elsewhere in his remarks Ramin Hatami emphasized on conducting comprehensive studies of reservoirs as one of the strategic requirements in the development and production of oil and gas fields.
