Serajeh Gas Storage Facility, located in Qom Province in Central Iran, has received over 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas since 2011.

Gholamreza Nasiraei, the director of production at the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, said during the period, as much as 5.46 bcm of natural gas had been injected to the storage facility, adding 5.2 bcm of gas had also been withdrawn from the site in the cold months of the year in the 7 years.

He said the facility had been designed to receive 7.5 mcm of gas in hot seasons and supplied a maximum of 9 mcm in cold seasons.

The official said injection of gas to the facility had started on May 5 and was at 270 mcm by June 10.
