Deal worth €125m to recover 82m square feet of flare gas

ICOFC has inked a €125-million Engineering Procurement, Construction and Financing (EPCF) deal with an Iranian company for implementing a project that would prevent 82 million square feet of gas flaring every day.

According to ICOFC Public Relations Ramin Hatami, the CEO of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, stated that the construction plan of Dehloran gas pressure station would be implemented as the last stage of supplying required feedstock of NGL3100 plant in order to gather and transfer flare gasses of Dehloran and Danan production units, which are one of the most important feed suppliers of downstream industries.

Ramin Hatami announced that in addition to investment of € 125 million for implementing this project in the form of EPCF contracts, all stages of financing, procurement, installation and commissioning of the project are done by an Iranian company and over a period of 23 months.

He added that one of the most important final products of this project (NGL3100 output) is light gas for injection in Cheshmeh Khosh oil reservoir and the national gas network, as well as valuable gas condensate to feed Dehloran Petrochemical Unit.

Hatami pointed out that the implementation of this project by a capable Iranian company is one of its strong points and said: "Considering that Iranian Central Oil Fields Company is using a new contract form for awarding this project, it is expected that the project implementation would be accelerated."

Being developed by West Oil and Gas Production Company (WOGPC) which is an ICOFC subsidiary, Dehloran and Danan oil fields are among the fields Iran shares with Iraq in the western borders of the country.

According to the report, construction site of Dehloran gas pressure station is located about 35 km southeast of Dehloran.
