South Zagros oil and gas fields have so far yielded as much as 1,377 billion cubic meters of natural gas, Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) announced.

The fields operated by South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (one of the three subsidiaries of ICOFC) hold 3,700 billion cubic meters of in-place natural gas of which 2,700bcm is recoverable.

The fields also hold 425 million barrels of crude oil in-place of which 12 million barrels have so far been recovered.

South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company produces 193 mcm/day of natural gas currently.

South Zagros Oil and Gas Company is one of the three subsidiaries under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.
