Managing director of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company said the company has planned to drill 10 new wells to stabilize gas production in the next winter. On the sideline of the well production forecast session held in ICOFC Gholamhossien Montazeri managing director of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company said the company would dig ten new wells in the operational regions to supply gas demand for the next winter, adding, with completion of wellhead facilities of 8 new wells together with repairing the existing installations, the company has managed to meet this winter’s gas demand. “Following the activities implemented by SZOGPC in Aghar and Dalan operational region, daily gas production from the region exceeded 43 million cubic meters”, Montazeri said, reiterating part of Shiraz oil refinery feedstock is supplied by the 9500 barrels of gas condensate produced in the region per day. According to ICOFC Public Relations South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of the three subsidiaries under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company with five operational regions. This company is in charge of producing 222 million cubic meters of gas per day covering 30 percent of the country’s gas demand.
