Managing director of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production company referred to the drilling of two new wells in the operational regions under SZOGPC and said with these two wells coming on stream, 1 million cubic meters of gas has been added to the total production capacity of the company. Dr .Montazeri was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying that the two gas wells came on stream when installation of wellhead facilities and other equipment had been done. He reiterated that all drilling and preparation operations of the two gas wells have been done by Iranian Expert working for South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company. Referring to the production of some 221 million cubic meters of gas as the main production plan of the company he said to accomplish this, we would add 12 new wells to the whole number of wells at the region this year. According to ICOFC Public Relations average gas production of SZOGPC stands at 181 mcm/d . Meanwhile, South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of the three subsidiaries under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company with 5 operational regions namely Nar and Kangan, Aghar and Dalan, Parsian, Sarkhon and South Gasho, and Sarvestan and Saadat Abad including 9 gas fields and 2 oil fields.
