With efforts made by Transport Department of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company and its three subsidiaries, waiting time for transportation of drilling rigs reduced to zero. On the sideline of the specialized committee for ICOFC transport system Alireza Toranj Zard was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying that with domestically manufacturing and delivering goods and other drilling operations requirements to transport terminals in different provinces we managed to reduce cost by 40 percent. “In spite of the vast area under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company which covers 11 provinces of the country, we could reduce waiting time for transportation of drilling rigs to zero” Toranj Zard said. Meanwhile Iranian Central Oil Fields Company is one of the five major oil and gas companies under NIOC (National Iranian Oil Company) with three subsidiaries (South Zagros Oil and Gas Company< East Oil and Gas Company and West Oil and Gas Company).
