As many as 4,000 barrels a day of oil will be extracted from Danan oil field once Danan separation center is operational in Aban (October 21-November 21).

The Production and Support Director at Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Ali-Reza Toranj-Zard said that such operations are flash in nature.

"Such a move was taken in 1394 (March 20, 2015-March 20, 2016) for Shurijeh B reservoir tank. Since it was not possible to provide a separation center for Shurijeh, a flash operation was temporarily put on the ICOFC agenda as flash operation."

He noted that amount of gas injected to Shurijeh B reservoir has risen to about eight million cubic meters a day from about four million cubic meters a day. Then, amount of extraction from reservoir reached 12.7 million cubic meters a day in winter last year, he added.
