Irans National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russias energy giant, Gazprom, signed a memorandum on gas cooperation.
The memorandum was signed in the Kremlin where Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

Iran and Russia signed 14 cooperation documents on various grounds including political, economic, legal, judiciary, scientific and cultural spheres in the presence of the two presidents in the Kremlin on the same day.

NIOC also signed another deal with the Russian exploration company Rosgeologia.
The documents were signed following talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Moscow.
