Korean Firms Resolved to Join RIPI Projects

Korean research firms came to Iran last week to visit the research arm of the countrys energy sector, Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI), in a push to cement research deals with the institute.

Representatives from three Korean energy and research firms, Oceanus, Kitech and Co Gas, paid a visit to RIPI last week to size up cooperation opportunities in the wake of removed US-led sanctions on Tehrans nuclear agenda, reported RIPI

During the visit, Kitechs Yong Cheul Lee introduced his company and the field of its activities, saying his visit was aimed at learning about RIPIs main activities and projects.

He said Kitech has secured a strong link with RIPI in technical research work, adding RIPIs human resources and equipment are exceptional.

OCEANUS is a Korean Oil & Gas EPCIC company with over 300 employees and branch offices in Middle East, South America (Brazil). OCEANUS provides "Total Solution" for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Testing & Commissioning for a variety of Oil & Gas projects.

Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) is a South Korean government research institute, established in 1989 to help develop technologies for the domestic industry, with focus on export competitiveness and SMEs.

RIPI has hosted of delegations from France, South Africa and South Korea in recent days.
