Farashband gas refinery was fed by low pressure gases to reduce environmental pollution and to avoid burning gases transmitted to the flare of the refinery. Ali Montaserit, technical affair director of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying that the aforementioned project was implemented and tested within two month, showing some 1 million and 200 thousand cubic meters gas transmission decline per month to the flare which will avoid burning some 14 million and 500 thousand cubic meters gas yearly. Farashband refinery is located in Dalan operational region from the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company.gas output of the refinery is transmitted to the cross-country pipeline through a 25km-30-inch pipe. Meanwhile, South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of the three subsidiaries under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.
