Deputy Head of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) for Development and Engineering Affairs Gholam-Reza Manouchehri says increase in production of oil fields west of Karoun River has given Iran a solid status in the OPEC.

Talking to Shana on the eve of official inauguration of three oil projects, including North Azadegan, Yadavaran and Yaran oil fields, Manouchehri said oil production of North Azadegan has reached about 75,000 barrels per day.

He added that oil production of Yadavaran field stands at 115,000 barrels per day and its daily production capacity is 135,000 barrels per day.

The official also put oil production of North Yaran at 30,000 bpd.
