In an innovative way and with the efforts of the experts of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, installation of upgraded subsurface safety valves in Sarajeh Qom operational Region was successfully completed.

Gholamreza Nasiraei, the technical director of the company, said: "The process of manufacturing parts and equipment needed for subsurface valves was implemented without using drilling rigs, saving 7 million Euros for well overhauls in the region.

He added: "The aforementioned valves were upgraded and installed by using the capabilities of domestic companies and with the cooperation of technical services of South Zagros Oil and Gas production company (SZOGPC) and supervision of production engineering of ICOFC headquarters in four of the 9 wells in the region.

Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, is one of the five major oil and gas production companies and second gas producer in the country. This company has undertaken production and development of most onshore fields of the country located in Illam, Boshehr, Charmahal-Bakhtiari, Northern Khorasan, Khozestan, Fars, Qom, Kermanshah, Kohgiloyeh-Boyerahmad, Lorestan and Hormozgan Provinces. At present the company supplies almost half of the country"s gas demand.
