Iran’s annual 12th Iran Plast September 24-27 in the capital Tehran. A total of 35 countries showcased their products.

Irans Petroleum Ministry, under President Hassan Rouhani, inaugurated 11 conventional phases of the giant South Pars gas field (12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21) without any foreign help.

Iran holds 102 oil and gas fields, 28 of which are jointly owned with neighboring countries. The joint onshore fields are shared with Iraq, while the offshore ones are located in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Iran has currently more than 37,000 kilometers of gas pipeline plus over 80 gas compressor stations. It is noteworthy that every year, 1,000 kilometers of high-pressure gas transmission line and seven to eight gas compressor stations are becoming operational.

Kish gas field, which is estimated to contain as much gas as held by five phases of the giant offshore South Pars Gas Field, is a top priority for the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

The "EOR Solutions for Iranian Fields" panel was presided over by Mohammad Ali Emadi, advisor to Deputy CEO of National Iranian Oil Company for Development and Engineering Affairs Gholam-Reza Manouchehri.

The panel discussion on the model of development contracts for Irans upstream oil and gas industry was presided over by Reza Dehqan, chief coordinator of upstream contracts at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

The second international E&P conference and the first international drilling industry exhibition were held simultaneously in Tehran March 3-4. More than 170 Iranian and foreign speakers shared views through 24 panel discussions.

What are the National Iranian Oil Company’s priorities in the calendar year of 1397, which began on March 21? Can the companys achievements in the year be predicted? What matters will be prioritized over other issued during the year? How would senior NIOC executives respond to the question, "What are the most important programs that are being followed up in the year 97, or are they expecting to reach fruition in the year?"

With the implementation of Irans nuclear agreement with world powers in January 2016, sanctions were lifted on Irans oil, gas and petrochemical industry and Iran made a strong return to global oil market. That was the main achievement of the nuclear accord, dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), for Irans economy.
